You’re a shadow now waving from the past,
without any sign, things happened so fast.
Just few hours then, I was holding your hand,
this heart bleeds, still trying to understand.
Missing you my lil soldier, you’re now up in Heaven, do carry this heart of mine, mom loves you so much..
<A SHORT MORAL STORY TO PONDER ABOUT>
Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, “God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice cream for dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!” Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby I heard a woman remark, “That’s what’s wrong with this country. Kids today don’t even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!” Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, “Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?” As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my son and said, “I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer. “Really?” my son asked. “Cross my heart,” the man replied. Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), “Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes.” Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his ice cream for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and without a word, walked over and placed it in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, “Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already.”

Sometimes we all need some ice cream. I hope God sends you some Ice Cream today!
Stabbed and deeply wounded by a sword
I was cleansed, healed by His word.
Ready now to face and fight new battle,
no longer frightened nor I be rattled.
In every breath, blood that would drop,
His strength lies in, I’ll never stop.
How can we move forward when we were deeply disappointed by certain circumstance? Do we simply pretend that nothing happened? -when our heart aches with pain; when we are afraid that there’ll be a repeat performance of that certain situation that broke our heart and robbed our peace of mind.
“Have you ever considered that, just perhaps, the reason you have gotten as far as you have is because of the invisible work of anonymous angels? -Gary Kinnaman
Some may fail to notice signs that Angels from Heaven really do exist. I believe and I know they’re everywhere watching over us to guide, to comfort and to heal. My mom said, my own guardian angel had helped me a lot of times before, she shared one story, when I was around 11 months old, I was playing one afternoon in our living room. My nanny then was carrying a pile of dirty laundry heading towards the stairs to the basement and my mom not too far away from me didn’t notice I followed Tita Lucy (my nanny). All of a sudden my mom heard a loud bang, I fell down the stairs and it was too late for mom to grab me but to her surprised, I safely landed in an ironing board. I was fine, wasn’t even crying, no fracture, not even a bruise or anything. It was really my angel who saved me and I know she/he still with me now.
The poet Samuel Coleridge once described friendship as “a sheltering tree.” When you have this quality, the branches of your friendship reach out over the lives of others, giving them shelter, shade, rest, relief, and encouragement…
Friends give comfort. We find strength near them. They bear fruit that provides nourishment and encouragement. When something trouble-some occurs n life, we picked up the phone and call a friend, needing the comfort he or she provides. I think there are few things more lonely than having no friend to call. Friends also care enough about us to hold us accountable…but we never doubt their love and respect.
You love us so much that you had given us friends,
You gifted us with their presence and their true friendship.
We understand your love by the sincerity of their love,
We experience your forgiveness as they understand our mistakes.
We know your compassion as they readily accepts our failures.
We realize your saving will as they want only the best for us.
“Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.” ―
― Dinah Maria Mulock Craik, A Life for a Life
Time has a way of defining real friends, even over the longest distance. Whatever challenges and storms both may face individually in life and they can still count on each other, comforts and listens without judging, it’s a friendship for keeps. I’m thanking God so much for giving me a true bestie, we both have families now yet nothing changes. She’s my best friend for so many years now *20 yrs! I’m praying for this friendship to last till we grow old.
I just want to see what awaits at the end,
pressure pushing me down, life’s teasing me again.
Having this second thought if I will just stay,
to protect myself from rain and winds along the way.
Thinking it over thrice may be a good notion.
Consulting the One Above I guess is the right action.
We need not to rely on ourselves alone when it comes to big decisions, consulting the best One Above can give the best suggestions.
This 1st of December, a shivering crowded night,
captivated by the huge tree and its lights.
Counting the days-hours, people can’t wait,
looking forward for that special date.
Praying for love, peace and true kindness,
we may all fill along with real gladness.
I can smell Christmas when we were in downtown.
